"Best method for NC Programming CATIA V5 Family of Parts (Without Ghost Link problem)"

This is the Best method I have followed for Family of Parts NC Programming in Catia V5:

Family1: Completed NC Programming File.

Family2: To be Programmed using Family1 NC Programmed files.

1)      Launch CatiaV5.

2)      Go to Tools à Optionsà Machiningà unpick the Duplicate Geometry links.

3)      Open Family1 and Family2 CATProcesses in the same session.

4)      Copy Manufacturing Program of Family1 from Family1 CATProcess.

5)      Paste in Family2 Catprocess. Links will be broken automatically from Family1 CATProcess.

6)      Save Family2 CATProcess and close all the catia Session.

7)      Go to Tools à Options à Machining à pick the Duplicate Geometry links.

8)      Open Family2 Process and Go to save management. Now all files must read from Family2 program folder and there should be no links from Family1 program folder.

9)      Now you can repick all the geometries from Family2 Part.

10)   Now you can save time in programming Family2 part without recreating the macros, feed and speeds.
